How to Transfer Domains to Springdot Hosting

Transferring your domains to Springdot Hosting is simple if you follow the guidelines in this FAQ. Please note that non .uk domains must be unlocked before intitiating the transfer and .uk domains must have the IPS tag changed, as detailed below. If these steps are not taken, your transfer request will fail.

Guide to Transfer .com/.net/.org/.biz/.info Domains

Before you start the transfer you must ensure that the current administration contact email address is valid and that the person receiving email at that address knows that they must respond to emails about the transfer.

Go to www.springdothosting.com and search for your domain.

Select the domain you want to transfer to Springdot Hosting and Checkout.

The administration contact will receive an email from OpenSRS with instructions on how to confirm the transfer. Once confirmed it will take only 24 HOURS to become active if you are transferring from 123-reg or UKREG. With other providers it may take up to seven days.

You may also receive another email from the current domain registrar, if you do you should read this very carefully as it may contain instructions for you to authorise the transfer away from them.

Guide to Transfer a Nominet Domain (ending in .uk)

Change the tag of the domain to HEARTINTERNET. You will be able to do this in the control panel with your current Domain Registrar. If you are uncertain how to change the IPS tag, please contact them for help.

Go to www.springdothosting.com and search for your domain.

Select the domain you want to transfer to Springdot Hosting and Checkout

Moving UK domains from 123-reg:-

Log-in to your 123-reg members area
Select to Modify the domain you want to move
In the Domain Control Panel select 'Change IPS Tag'
Enter HEARTINTERNET as the new IPS Tag
After 24 hours go to www.springdothosting.com and search for your domain.
Select the domain you want to transfer to Springdot Hosting and Checkout

Moving UK domains from UKREG:-

Select 'Configure Domains' from UKREG
Log-in to your account
Select your UK domain that you want to move to Springdot Hosting
Select to modify the IPS Tag
Enter HEARTINTERNET as the new IPS Tag
After 24 hours go to www.springdothosting.com and search for your domain.
Select the domain you want to transfer to Springdot Hosting and Checkout

Moving UK domains from Easyspace:-

Log-in to the Easyspace shop
Enter your username and password.
Select the "services" button to the right of the domain name you wish to transfer.
Scroll down to the end of the service list to "IPS tag transfer" and enter the new IPSTAG (In Capitals)
Click "confirm order" then click "submit details ...." and select your payment method.
After 24 hours go to www.springdothosting.com and search for your domain.
Select the domain you want to transfer to Springdot Hosting and Checkout
